Why do you scrape the wax off after you put it on? I know you let it dry, but then why scrape it off? Is it just excess? Is there still wax on there?
thank very detailed
nice vid
Do i have to use a special wax iron or can i just use a clothes iron?
A Wax specific brush
It is dependent on the Temps and water content in the snow.
If you are just learning start by using an All Temp Wax.
What is the best wax to use?
what kinda of brush can i use?
Use a knife or razor blade to take off extra hanging P-Tex and use a stone to buff out the edges.
how do you get the bristles off the board from a scartch and what can i use to get out the nciks in the board
how do you get rid of little plastic bristles left from a scratch
i just bought a cheap one and it works fine
@ManchesterUCR7 A vice is handy, but not necessary. You can stack books, wood, crates or anything else under it so you get a flat stable surface to work on. For summer storage, coat with wax and dont scrape at all. This will keep your base from drying out.
No, you need the brush for the channels that the snow will travel through, like the grain of wood.
Would a dish rag work in place of a brush?
the wax is gonna get stuck on it
youre better off just getting one you dont plan on using other than for waxing
he used a CRAP load of wax
can i wax without buying a tuning vise if so how? also to store over summer should i just scrape off less wax or not scrape off any?
The wax will melt out of the holes
it has holes under it
they will clog
nice vid it really helped me and i went and waxed my board for the first time and i wont lie it wasnt the smoothest wax job. i scraped all i could off of it but i can still feel some buildup how much will that effect me
if u use ur mums iron will it mess it up or brake it?
yuppp, i’ve been stealing my dad’s ski swix wax for a long time, and that shit is good
@legodude666 nah i tried it yesterday and it was perfect
you can use a cloth too works just as good lol
